Yesterday, Coquitlam College hosted a representative from Vancouver Island University (VIU), giving students the chance to explore the new academic pathways made possible through a newly established transfer agreement between our two institutions.

This new partnership allows eligible Coquitlam College students to transfer their credits directly to VIU and enter select degree programs in their second or third year. During the visit, students learned how their current studies can translate into future degree options, what academic planning looks like when preparing to transfer, and the types of support available once they move on to university. Topics such as admission requirements, scholarships, and student services helped students better understand how to plan their next steps with confidence.

By offering opportunities like this, Coquitlam College continues to support student mobility and informed decision-making as learners map out their post-secondary journeys.
