Scholarships
Scholarships recognize academic achievement and may also consider accomplishments such as leadership, community involvement, or participation in College activities. Some scholarships require an application, while others may be awarded automatically to eligible students.
New Domestic Students
CC Community Connection Scholarship
For new domestic students entering the High School, Associate of Arts, or University Transfer program who demonstrate community involvement and academic potential.
Amount: $2,500 total ($1,250 per semester)
New International Students
Tom Tait Honour Scholarship
For high-achieving new international students entering the High School program.
Amount: $5,000 total ($2,500 per semester)
Specialization Scholarships – Business, Writing, and STEM
For new international students entering the High School program who demonstrate strong academic potential and plan to transfer to a four-year institution for further studies in business, writing, or STEM.
Amount: $2,500 total ($1,250 per semester)
Awards
Awards support students who are continuing in their studies from high school to Coquitlam College’s University Transfer or Associate of Arts programs. Award amounts vary based on academic standing and whether the student graduated from Coquitlam College or another BC high school.
Coquitlam College High School Graduates
Domestic High School Graduates from Coquitlam College
For domestic students graduating from Coquitlam College’s High School program and continuing into the University Transfer or Associate of Arts program. Students must demonstrate academic potential and a personal commitment to their studies.
Amount:
- B Average or higher: $1,000 ($500 per semester)
- Below B Average: $250 ($125 per semester)
International High School Graduates from Coquitlam College
For international students graduating from Coquitlam College’s High School program and continuing into the University Transfer or Associate of Arts program. Students must demonstrate academic potential and a personal commitment to their studies.
Amount:
- B Average or higher: $2,000 ($1,000 per semester)
- Below B Average: $500 ($250 per semester)
New Students from BC High Schools
BC Domestic High School Graduates
For domestic students graduating from Coquitlam College’s High School program and continuing into the University Transfer or Associate of Arts program. Students must demonstrate academic potential and a personal commitment to their studies.
Amount:
- B Average or higher: $800 ($400 per semester)
- Below B Average: $200 ($100 per semester)
BC International High School Graduates
For new international students who have graduated from a BC high school and are entering the University Transfer or Associate of Arts program who demonstrate academic potential and a personal commitment to their studies.
Amount:
- B Average or higher: $1,600 ($800 per semester)
- Below B Average: $400 ($200 per semester)
Bursaries
The Pathway to Success Bursaries provide financial assistance to eligible students from designated partner secondary schools who continue their studies at Coquitlam College.
Current Partner Schools: École Cariboo Hill Secondary School, Byrne Creek Community School
Domestic Students
English Studies or High School
For eligible domestic students entering the English Studies or High School program.
Amount: 100% of tuition, application fee, and lab fees
Duration: Two years; students may reapply for additional support with the College’s approval.
University Transfer or Associate of Arts
For eligible domestic students entering the University Transfer or Associate of Arts program.
Amount: 50% of tuition, application fee, and lab fees
Duration: Two years; students may reapply for additional support with the College’s approval.
International Students
English Studies or High School
For eligible international students entering the English Studies or High School program.
Amount: 10% of tuition, application fee, and lab fees
Duration: Two years; students may reapply for additional support with the College’s approval.
