Coquitlam College Terry Fox Run: Running Together for a Cause
On Friday, September 26th, students, faculty, and staff at Coquitlam College came together to honour the legacy of Terry Fox by participating in our annual Terry Fox Run. This event was not just about running or walking—it was about showing solidarity, celebrating community, and continuing Terry’s dream of finding a cure for cancer.
The campus community gathered with enthusiasm and energy, with many participants proudly wearing their Terry Fox t-shirts and sharing stories of what his legacy means to them. The run brought people together from all walks of life, united by the same goal: to support life-saving cancer research.
Donation boxes were set up in the Office of the Registrar ahead of the event, and additional contributions were collected on the day of the run. Thanks to the generosity of our community, we were able to raise meaningful funds that will go directly to the Terry Fox Foundation. Every step taken and every dollar donated helps carry forward the vision Terry began over forty years ago.
The run also served as a reminder of the resilience and determination Terry embodied. His Marathon of Hope continues to inspire millions around the world, and Coquitlam College is proud to be part of that legacy.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who participated, donated, or supported the event in any way. Together, we keep Terry’s dream alive and contribute to a future without cancer.
Missed the run but still want to give back? Donations can still be made directly to the Terry Fox Foundation through their website. Every contribution, big or small, makes a difference.
