Join Us for the Terry Fox Run at Coquitlam College!
This September, Coquitlam College is proud to host our annual Terry Fox Run—a chance for our community to come together, honour Terry’s legacy, and support cancer research.
📅 Date: Thursday, September 25
🕚 Time: 11:45 AM – 12:20 PM
📍 Location: In front of Room 301
We invite all students, staff, and faculty to participate in this short, college-wide run/walk. A donation box is available starting today in the Office of the Registrar, and contributions will also be accepted on the day of the run.
Why We Run
In 1980, Terry Fox began his Marathon of Hope after losing a leg to cancer, determined to run across Canada to raise money for cancer research. Though his journey ended after 143 days and more than 5,300 kilometres, his dream carried on.
Today, the Terry Fox Run is a global movement, with millions of participants in over 60 countries raising more than $850 million for cancer research.
Terry’s story reminds us that his legacy is more than running or fundraising—it’s about resilience, compassion, and the power of community. As he said himself:
“Even if I don’t finish, we need others to continue. It’s got to keep going without me.”
Let’s continue what Terry started. Join us on September 25 and be part of this inspiring tradition.
