Coquitlam College welcomes students from around the world into all of our programs:
Admission Requirements:
For all College programs, students must submit their most recent official transcripts. In addition, students are placed in appropriate classes and programs based on the College's assessment of their English language abilities.
It is mandatory that all students have medical insurance. If students do not have medical insurance upon entering Coquitlam College, the College will enrol students in a private medical plan at a cost of $188.00 per semester. Following this, students may apply for British Columbia Medical Plan insurance after residing in British Columbia for three months.
- University Transfer Credit Program:
Students must have completed an accredited high school program.
Those students whose native language is not English are required to present one of the following documents:
- A TOEFL score of at least 86 (internet based) 230 (computer based) or 570 (paper based)
- A CAEL score of at least 60
- A minimum score of 6.5 on the I.E.L.T.S.
Students who do not have any of these documents, must demonstrate sufficient proficiency in English on the Coquitlam College English Diagnostic Test, regardless of their academic qualifications.
Some programs may have additional requirements.
A prepatory term or terms may be required in order to meet these prerequisites.

The College will evaluate students' most recent official transcripts and assess their English language proficiency.
- ESL Curriculum - English Studies
Students must be at least 15 years of age upon entering the program.
