The Indigenous Scholars’ Bursary is designed to support Indigenous students (First Nations, Métis, or Inuit) entering Coquitlam College’s Associate of Arts, University Transfer, or High School programs who demonstrate academic potential, community involvement, and a strong commitment to success. This bursary covers 100% of tuition and book costs for up to two years, removing financial barriers to education and helping students thrive academically.
To support their success, bursary recipients are required to meet with an academic advisor throughout their studies to monitor progress, set goals, and receive ongoing guidance. Students who are not registered for two consecutive semesters must reapply.
Important: Applications must be submitted directly to Coquitlam College. Students referred by agents are not eligible.

Eligibility Criteria
Be of Indigenous ancestry (proof of Indigenous identity or community affiliations required)
Be a domestic student (Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or with refugee status)
Have lived in British Columbia and/or Yukon for at least 12 consecutive months prior to the date of full-time enrolment in the program for which the bursary is applied.
