Technology/Software Requirements for Online Learning
For Window Users
- Operating System: Windows 11 (Windows 10 is not recommended due to reduced support and security limitations)
- Processor: Intel Core i3 (8thGeneration or newer), AMD Ryzen (3rd Generation or newer)
- Memory (RAM): 8 GB minimum
- Storage: At least 256 GB
- Peripherals: Built-in or external webcam and microphone
For Mac Users
- Operating System: macOS 10.15 (Catalina) or higher
- Processor: Intel Core i3 (4thgeneration or newer) or Apple Silicon (M1, M2, etc..)
- Memory (RAM): 8 GB minimum
- Storage: At least 256 GB
- Peripherals: Built-in or external webcam and microphone
For Linux Users
- Operating System and Hardware
- Operating System: Ubuntu 20.04+ or Linux Mint 20+
- Processor: Intel Core i3 (4thgeneration or newer), AMD Ryzen (first generation or newer)
- Memory (RAM): 8 GB minimum
- Storage: At least 256 GB
- Peripherals: Webcam and microphone required
- Note: Chromebooks and tablets are not recommended, as they may not support all necessary course tools.

Software Requirements
- Staff are expected to utilize software that will be available to the students for the most convenient means of communication.
- A suggested list:
- Microsoft Office 365
- Alternative: LibreOffice
- A pdf viewer
- Adobe Acrobat
- Xpdf
- Telecommunication software
- Zoom
- Teams
- Teams may not work for Linux based systems
- Other software required for your course should have their computer requirements explicitly stated on the course outline, syllabus, and description
