In-person courses follow the traditional practice of delivering learning primarily through face-to-face experiences, including lectures, discussions, labs, and classroom activities. These courses are based on 39 contact hours and rely on direct interaction between students and instructors. No online class time is required, though digital tools such as MyCC (Moodle) may be used to support coursework.
A structured instructional approach that combines in-person learning with online learning. Students participate in a mix of in-person instruction, synchronous online sessions, and asynchronous online activities, creating a flexible yet connected learning environment. While blended courses may vary in design, at least 75% of total class time must be synchronous, including both live online and in-person sessions. All midterm and final examinations are held in person on the Vancouver campus.
An instructional approach in which all class time is delivered online, with no requirement to attend sessions in person or follow set class meeting times. Students engage in asynchronous learning activities through MyCC (Moodle). Online courses are designed to give students greater autonomy in how they manage their learning while also offering opportunities for formative feedback from instructors during scheduled check-ins.
Coquitlam College’s online learning platform. Online and blended courses will utilize this service heavily to ensue that students have access to the materials necessary to engage with their learning. To access MyCC, an internet connection is required.
The College may utilize either Zoom or Teams to meet with students virtually. Depending on the preferences of your instructor and the course being taught you may or may not need to complete your assignments via Zoom.
