Biol 101
Principles of Biology I
(4 credits)
This course is designed as the first in a pair of courses in biological sciences that provide a detailed examination of the basic unit of life - the cell. Organisms are studied with a particular emphasis on the structure and function of systems in both plants and animals. Three-hour labs are an integral part of the course.
Prerequisites: BI 12 required, CH 12 recommended.
Biol 102
Principles of Biology II
(4 credits)
This course provides an introduction to the biological concepts of continuity of life, unity and the diversity of living things, change of organisms through time and interactions of living things. Three-hour labs are an integral part of the course.
Prerequisites: BI 12 required, CH 12 recommended.
Biol 104
