Coquitlam College offers university transfer credit programs that lead to Certificates (one year) and Diplomas (two years). Therefore, after completing the requirements for a Certificate or a Diploma, students may also transfer these course credits to a university program.

Note: Students may transfer 6 courses (18 credits) from another institution for the Certificate Programs and 10 courses (30 credits) from another institution for the Diploma Programs. Additionally, 2 courses (6 credits) from other institutions may be transferred for a second certificate or diploma.
Students must complete the last 3 courses of Certificate and Diploma programs at Coquitlam College.
Students applying for multiple certificates or diplomas must complete 2 additional courses (6 credits) for certificates and 4 courses (12 credits) for diplomas at Coquitlam College.
Admission Requirements
Admission to Coquitlam College's Certificate and Diploma Programs requires the satisfactory completion of an accredited high school program and the demonstration of sufficient proficiency in English at the university level.
Those students whose native language is not English are required to present one of the following documents:
- A TOEFL score of at least 570 (paper based score) or 230 (computer based score)
- A CAEL score of at least 60
- A minimum score of 6.5 on the I.E.L.T.S.
I lieu of these documents, a student must demonstrate sufficient proficiency in English on the Coquitlam College English Diagnostic Test, regardless of their academic qualifications.
Some programs may have additional requirements. A preparatory term or terms may be required in order to meet these prerequisites.
