This activity takes place on one Friday
in the summer and fall semesters.
When the activity is available,
posters will be placed on notice boards around the
college,
and the activity will be advertised online.
Instructions for participants:
No prior horseback riding experience is required.
Total cost: $60
- includes transport to and from the ranch,
a 30 minute group lesson and a ninety minute trail
ride through the
beautiful trails close to Cascade Falls Regional Park in Mission,
BC.
Mustang Stables offer a safe learning environment
where students
can gain valuable horse handling and western riding
skills under
the supervision of well-qualified instructors.
This activity is limited to eight students. Medical
insurance is
mandatory and hard hats will be provided. To reserve a
place,
students should sign the list in the college main
office.
The total fee of $60 and is due on registration.
On the day of the trail ride, students meet
at the college reception area (by the main office)
at 10am, and will travel in the college bus to
Mustang Stables ranch in Mission.
For this event it is important that students wear
appropriate
clothing: long jeans, boots/shoes with a heel and a
waterproof
jacket (just in case). Hard hats will be provided (or bring your own cycle
helmet).
Thin leather gloves recommended.
Please bring a packed lunch.
The lesson will start at 12 noon, followed by a ninety
minute ride.
We expect to be back at the college by approx. 5pm.
